Yes, now you can have your own blog at Amsbaugh.com! As a way to bring in hosting donations for Amsbaugh.com, I have come up with the idea of giving out blog space. For a one-time donation of just $10, you can have your own Amsbaugh.com domain complete with blog software installed. Alyssa has alyssa.amsbaugh.com, I have blog.amsbaugh.com, and YOU can have one, too! Plus, it will be yours FOREVER! I have owned the Amsbaugh.com domain for more than 11 years…
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the students, faculty, and their families of Virginia Tech. I can only imagine the things they must be going through and how tough it will be for them over the next few weeks.
Here’s a blast from the past! Taken in the ’70’s (probably 1976), this is my mom, our dog Duffer, and Janet. Think the ladies have changed at all since then? I’ll be scanning some more of some photos I found recently over the coming days and will likely embarrass many people, myself included. Keep your heads down!
Merry Christmas from us to all of you out there!
Go to http://www.letssaythanks.com right now and send a very special card to our troops! Xerox is providing this very special service for us to send our thanks to US troops overseas at no cost. That’s right, it’s free! You don’t have to use your real name but you can if you wish. You can also put in your real address and email address if you want to hear back from them. “The mission of Let’s Say Thanks is to provide…
I have opened a new store to help offset costs of the Web site! You can now buy merchandise from Amsbaugh.com and help to keep me from going broke! Just click on the CafePress link on the left and choose from our current selections. Items will change often but we are starting out with mostly 2002 Reunion themed items. I only have a small markup on the items so the more you buy the better. I will be adding more…
My momma went to visit her sister, my Aunt Darlene, in Michigan recently. You can see her photos in the gallery!
We went to Cobleskill, NY, this past weekend for a visit with the cousins. See our photos in the gallery!
The building known locally as Washington Hardware was destroyed in a massive fire this week. The former three-story building had been purchased a couple of years ago and turned into an antiques store. The owner had pumped over $80,000 into renovating the building and had only just recently removed the old Washington Hardware hammer sign that had adorned the building for many decades. the photo is shows what is left of the building.
Downtown Washington started to look a little different the other day with the demolition of a few buildings on Washington Avenue. The new owner of the property is going to erect a new set of buildings in the style of the old Washington.
I still need to make a logo and tweak a few things but I might keep this one for a while. Just to be different, of course. The old white thing was boring me.
In honor of Dead Man’s Chest being released last night, I have this for you all: http://www.dogclan.org/flashes/piratesarefree.swf
We hope everyone has a safe, happy, and healthy 4th fo July celebration today! Don’t blow up your hands or eat too much BBQ!
We have some photos from father’s day in the gallery. I am in some of them, too! Take a look and see what I looked like this past weekend.
I have added some photos to the gallery today. Some are from the recent work I have been doing on the house and some are from Alyssa’s outings with her friends. Take a look!
I added a blog for Alyssa the other day, which brings the total number of blogs on this site to 2. She has not added anything to it so far but will probably be quite prolific in the long run. You can get to it via the link on the left. I also added a few photos to the gallery. Look under May 31 and June 1 to see our roses and our new kitchen faucet. It took 4.5 hours…
I have started a blog for my somewhat daily thoughts. I may or may not add to it daily but it should be pretty regular. I will do this kind of thing there rather than here to keep this site from being over-run with my drivel. http://blog.amsbaugh.com/
If you were wondering where we were in February of 2000, wonder no more:
For some reason there was a setting in the site security software that was telling the world the site was down. It didn’t show this message to me (I still don’t know why) so I had no idea it was happening or for how long. This has been resolved so EVERYONE should be able to get in now. All because hackers are rampant on the Web. Their mothers are crack-whores and their fathers are pigs. Sorry for the inconvenience. Also…
